October 2015
October is notorious for parties. Even before the actual Halloween, the kids look forward to classroom parties, the costume parade, our ward trunk-or-treat, fall performances, and the pumpkin patch field trip all before Halloween even begins! It's excessive if you ask me, but the kids have a blast. Here's a glimpse of our October...
Irelynn wanted me to take a picture of her holding the "Irelynn doll" that her friend Karlee gave her years ago. Too cute.
Nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby on your chest.
This is Branson playing flag football for the Somerset Sharks. He's on the Thresher Shark (A) team and is an excellent receiver.
This is the set up we have to construct for our girls while they "watch" Branson play. Books, toys, and snacks. It's no wonder all the other little sisters gravitate to our blanket. We ended up on babysitting duty! I decided to not bring as much cool stuff with us the next week.
Natalya caught some sweet kisses on camera. I love these cheeks!
Watching the rain fall was pure entertainment.
Natalya at another Cross Country race. She's really enjoying this and she's doing so well. I'm a proud mommy!
The girls were trying on their costumes for Halloween and really wanted me to take their pictures. They're adorable!
I finished painting my parent's suite!
Yay! I love it. Next they plan to buy a rug. It's always a work-in-progress, right?!
Annika is quite the little gymnast! She adores Gymcats. It's her favorite day of the week. I wish we could afford to send her there 3 times a week. She'd be in heaven! One day will have to do - for now. :)
Branson and Sawyer love to construct long dominoes contraptions. From bridges and slides, to tricks they learn from watching YouTube, they have become quite the inventive pair!
I can't remember where the boys were, but I do remember planning a special girl's night with my daughters. We had treats and watched Sleepless in Seattle. I love my girlies.
Branson participated in his first Raingutter Regatta at Cub Scouts. We made his ship just the night before and let the black and red spray paint dry over night. He did pretty well, but didn't win. It was hard on his little competitive spirit! Now that we know what to expect, maybe next year we won't procrastinate :)
Tamzyn discovered a new love - watching the laundry spin! She'll sit for 10 minutes at a time and watch it. Ha!
She also loves the pantry. Especially the granola bars.
Annika and I rarely take a picture unless it's silly.
Tamzyn is content with measuring cups and spoons while I'm doing dishes or making dinner. We also play a game where she throws something and expects me to pick it up. Hm.
Tamzyn loves Baby Einstein. So do I. Thank you, Baby Einstein!!
Branson always photo bombs my pictures.
Acacia Ward Trunk-or-Treat 2015
I was recently called to serve as the Relief Society Activities Committee Coordinator. That means I have the responsibility of planning and conducting one activity every month for the sisters in our ward. Right as I was called, I was responsible for putting on the Trunk-or-Treat for the entire ward. It was a lot to do! I think it was a success. Even I had fun :)
Chili and cornbread dinner, pumpkin centerpieces
Do-it-yourself photo booth with props to choose from
Poison (not really) cupcake walk
My crazy family - complete with a sleeping baby
The only think that I didn't photograph was the Haunted Train Ride. It was awesome! All the kids loved it. A man from a neighboring ward volunteered to tow a looong train around the back half of the parking lot. I guess he does it every year. I know that my kids will be looking forward to doing it again next year!
I love this little smile! All my daughters have worn this same dress that Nana bought when Natalya was a baby. I can be a little sentimental when it comes to my babies.
Our house is starting to take shape!
It feels like home.
This sweetie is such an easy baby. She plays and plays even if mommy has to run around doing a million things. We're lucky to have such a happy little addition to our family.
Hi :)
Natalya and Annie at their Cross Country meet. We love the Talbot family! They're such great neighbors, ward family members, and friends.
See the teeny tiny little ants in the distance? That's Natalya's race. She's one of those ants racing around the pond and wash.
The kids' school does a costume parade around the outside of their building every year. The parents line up to watch and take pictures.
Here's Natalya. Annika couldn't contain herself - she wanted to join the fun!
Irelynn and Mrs. VanSon
Branson
Mama and Tamzy
This little punkin is wearing Branson's first Halloween hoodie from when he was a baby. Those are his jack-o-lantern socks too. Dang cute!!
I never want to forget just how adorable this baby is - so I take pictures...
Tamzyn adores her Grandaddy
Oreo kisses
As much as Tamzyn loves her Grandma and Grandaddy, I think they love her just as much!
Some new friends, the Mattson's, invited us to their home for a Halloween party. So we resurrected the Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles costumes that I made when Irelynn was a baby!
Ugh! She can't get any cuter!!
Happy Halloween from the Reeve Family
