My Baby Turns 3

Happy Birthday baby girl! 

Annika will always be my baby girl - no matter how old she is.  I'm just not prepared for her to grow up.  Luckily the Lord sent her big spirit in a tiny body so it has felt like I've my baby a while longer.

Annika, 9 months old

Stay little.  Forever please.

Annika brings so much joy to our home.  She's a fabulous combination of clever and mischievous, and warm and tender.  Annika loves to sing, dance, and act.  She's very bright and can't wait to start preschool this August.  Annika is such a great addition to our family - life would be boring without her!  Almost.

Birthday morning…

They can seriously run through the streamers a zillion times and not get tired of it.

When you're 3, opening a box of your favorite junkie cereal and princess fruit snacks is just as good as any toy.  

Her favorite gift this year was Disney's Frozen soundtrack.  Notice the crazy look in her eyes - that's pure elation!

Her favorite snack?  Nutella to Go!  My kids are so easy to please.

Later that afternoon...

Flip 'n Out with the cousins

Our whole family loves to go to Flip 'n Out.  It's a 10,000 sq. ft. indoor trampoline arena. There's huge trampolines, inflatable bouncers, an arcade, a rock wall, and 5 story laser tag.

After 20 or so minutes of constant jumping it can be exhausting!

Spice Cake…
Annika and Uncle Bryan share the same favorite cake.  Spice cake with cream cheese frosting. 

Make a wish baby girl…

Annika must have had a great birthday because she continues to ask for her birthday again and again.  

Our typical conversation goes like this:

"Can I have my birthday again?"

"Absolutely - when you turn 4."

"Yay!  I'm 4!"

"Not until February."

"Aww."
