An Angry Birthday

Branson turned SIX!  It's hard to believe how quickly they grow.  Branson is still our sweet, happy little boy.  He's smart and loves to read and do math.  Branson is a peacemaker in our home and is almost always the first to apologize.  He is humble and teachable.  And if someone is upset, he's good about trying to cheer them up - usually by making silly faces at them.  :)  

And of course, being a six year old boy he's full of energy, always talks too loud, and never stops running.  We love him.

Branson has been obsessed with Angry Birds for a year or two.  Naturally, he requested an Angry Birds birthday party.  So we went all out...

We originally planned the party outside at a park.  But the day of his birthday was very windy and we had to move it inside the church.  But it ended up just right!

Then throw 3 red birds at the towers trying to knock down the pigs and egg.  If you hit a "TNT" box, then you can walk right up to it and punch or kick the box down!

Once everyone had a turn, the boys got to smash the entire structure down.  Oh boys...

After that, we played "Find the Golden Egg" at least 5 times.

Then we played dodge ball!  The teams were divided as follows:  all the little boys vs. Jackson, Walker and Natalya.  (I'm pretty sure the big kids won, but we won't tell the little boys that!)

I think he liked his present, the Angry Birds game.  This picture makes me smile every time I see it!
