Natalya Turns Double Digits!

June 1st, 2014
Natalya turned 10 on June 1st, 2014!  Wow, do I feel OLD.  She spent her birthday morning in Utah then we drove home to Las Vegas.  Since she had to do a fair amount of traveling on her birthday, we celebrated with her friends a week later. Here's the scoop:

Nana made a super special birthday breakfast for Natalya.  Nana is always so thoughtful!

French toast, sausage, fresh fruit...mmmmm.

After a relaxing morning, we had to say good bye and get on the road.

Welcome Home!
Surprise!!!
She had some special gifts waiting for her when she got home.

When you're 10 years old, you like toys less and clothes/accessories/room decor more - so she got a bookcase and a new rug for her room.

Natalya's Birthday Party

Natalya prefers the company of a few close friends over a large group of people.  She has some very sweet girls that she likes to hang out with.  Cozette, Alexandra, Carlaya and Kayla got to share  her special day with her.

Natalya's favorite dessert isn't cake - it's chocolate truffles!  I always make her truffles instead of cake for her birthday.

Claire's Boutique
After lunch, dessert and presents, we left for Claire's to get Natalya's ears pierced!  She's been waiting and waiting for this day to come.  We have a rule that our girls can't pierce their ears until they're 10.  She was excited to say the least!  And a little nervous.
I'm glad she had her support group with her :)

She didn't even flinch!

Beautiful!  She chose aquamarine crystals for her first pair.  I think she looks even older now.  *sigh*

Century 16 Santa Fe Station
After getting her ears pierced, we treated the girls to a movie.  Natalya had been waiting for Maleficent to come out and she got to see it with all her besties!

Happy Birthday to my baby girl!
(You'll always be my baby.)
